City-Wide Clean Up Set for Saturday May 18

The 2019 City-Wide Clean Up will take place Saturday, May 18 beginning at 8:00 am. The event takes place at Edwardsville City Hall and will have multiple 40-yard containers for residents to dispose of large or bulky items not normally accepted in curbside service. You must provide proof of residency in order to take part (valid photo I.D., current utility bill, etc.) Items that will not be accepted include:

  • Paint
  • Batteries
  • Oil
  • Flammable/corrosive/explosive materials
  • Tires
  • Concrete
  • Stone
  • Dirt
  • Asphalt shingles
  • Any propane tanks that are not completely empty
  • Tree/yard waste

There will also be designated areas to dispose of scrap items and e-waste. City staff will be on hand between 8:00 am and 1:00 pm or until all of the containers are full. For additional details, please call Customer Service Clerk Heather Jones at 913-356-6000 (extension 1)
