Members Present: Tim Sweeten, Jeff Martinique, Gerald Pappert, Woody Berry and Robert Craven.
Members Absent: Bryan Smith and Kelli Curry.
Regular Meeting
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Jeff Martinique.
Secretary’s Report: April 16, 2008
Motion to approve the Secretary’s Report was made by Commissioner Robert Craven. Commissioner Woody Berry seconded the motion. Commissioners Tim Sweeten and Gerald Pappert abstained.
The motion carried 3-0.
New Business
The commission agreed to table the election of officers until next month.
Old Business
Consider application for “temporary special use”. Applicant: John & Pamela Frazey, 10435 Riverview.
Staff Report:
Michael Webb, City Administrator. It is the recommendation of the City Planner and staff to approve this application for temporary special use permit for the full two year period.
Jay Frazey, 10435 Riverview, What are the requirements to be grandfathered in? I would like to get around this review every two years. Is there any chance that the four of us could be grandfathered in?
Michael Webb, City Administrator explained that there are no ordinances for a grandfather clause.
Motion to approve the temporary special use application for John & Pamela Frazey at 10435 Riverview for a period of two years was made by Commissioner Tim Sweeten. Commissioner Woody Berry seconded the motion.
The motion carried 4-0.

Items from the Staff
Michael Webb, City Administrator distributed a scope of work from Shafer, Kline and Warren regarding an update to the Comprehensive Plan. He recommended the city begin the RFP process to obtain professional services to update the Comprehensive Plan.
Michael Webb also informed the commission that a letter was sent to Mr. Overby as instructed by the commission at the last meeting.
Items from the Planning Commission
Discussion regarding the temporary use permits and future management of these permits continued.
The planning commission requested a list of residential home occupancy licenses to allow for annual review of these licenses.
Michael Webb, City Administrator, recommended changing the zoning ordinance and to limit the permitted use for each zone. He will provide samples of various use tables from other cities for the commission to review.
Adjournment
A motion to adjourn was made by Commissioner Gerald Pappert. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Woody Berry. The meeting adjourned at 8:25pm.
The next regularly scheduled meeting is June 18, 2008.
