[ARCHIVED] Sponsor a Tree at the Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony

tree xmas

Each year, the City of Edwardsville hosts a Mayor’s Tree Lighting Ceremony in early December to kick off the holiday season in our community. A new feature in recent years has been the addition of pre-lit Christmas trees around our main tree to create a Christmas Tree Forrest in the heart of our town. We began this venture in 2022 and will be adding trees each year to this special attraction.

In order to accomplish this, we are asking for your help in the form of a tree sponsorship for this year’s event. Your $125 sponsorship will go towards the purchase of a new tree to add to the forest as well as a sign recognizing you or your business’s contribution to this event. We have ten (10) sponsorship opportunities this year. Once your sponsorship is confirmed and the trees are set up in downtown Edwardsville, you are welcome to decorate your tree with appropriate , holiday-themed ornaments to add a personal touch to this year’s event.

We would greatly appreciate your contribution to this year’s event and hope to see you on Tuesday, December 6, for this year’s ceremony! Links to a sponsorship form, which you can fill out and return with payment to Edwardsville City Hall, 690 S. 4th St., can be found by CLICKING HERE.
