[ARCHIVED] Enter the EDW Gingerbread House Contest Today!

For the first year ever, the City will be hosting a Gingerbread House contest as part the of Mayor's Tree Lighting Ceremony, taking place on December 6, 2022. To enter, fill out the registration form HERE. Blind voting will take place at the Community Center on Dec. 6, during the Santa/crafts/coco portion of the event. We will announce winners in the Dec. 9 edition of the Edwardsville Hotshot e-newsletter! First place is a $100 gift certificate. Second and third place winners will each receive a $25 gift card. You will need to register your entry using the form below and drop off your creation to Edwardsville City Hall (690 S. 4th St.) no later than Friday, Dec. 2 by 5:00 PM.

Other rules include:

  • Entries must consist primarily of gingerbread
  • Entries must be free-standing and attached to a sturdy base
  • Entries must include primarily edible components
  • Any gingerbread structure, real or imaginary, is eligible
